WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

ELIGIBLITY REQUIREMENTS

|
Emergency Financial Assistance Provides limited grants for Union members in emergency situations.
|
- Current Union members in good standing
- Union members within 1 year of layoff or termination
|
- Reside in Working Partnerships service area: Hennepin, Wright, Carver, Scott, McLeod, Meeker, and Anoka Counties
- Emergency situation including but not limited to: energy shutoff, eviction, mortgage foreclosure, layoff or termination, medical problems, severe financial crisis
- May receive grant once in a 12-month period
- Amount of grant dependent on available funds

Emergency Food Program Provides grocery store gift cards for Union members in emergency situations.

- Union members within 1 year of layoff or termination

- Emergency situation including but not limited to: energy shutoff, eviction, mortgage foreclosure, layoff or termination, medical problems, severe financial crisis
- May receive up to 6 grocery store gift cards in a 12-month period.

Apprenticeship Support Program Provides eligible Union apprentices with limited grants for purchasing personal safety equipment and some transportation
|
- Individuals currently in or entering into an Union apprenticeship program
|
- Reside or work in Twin Cities 7-county metropolitan area
- Currently making less than living wage (130% of federal poverty)
- Provide proof of income/ no income
